Motorcyclist airlifted to Toronto hospital after crash in Kawarsa Lakes city: OPP

A motorcycle driver was airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto Sunday afternoon after amotorcycle crashin thecity of Kawartha Lakes.

According to the Kawartha Lakes City OPP, a motorcycle crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Little Britain Road near Beecroft Road in former Mariposa Township. Paramedics responded. Little Britain 6 km southwest of the village of or 22 km southwest of Lindsay.

OPP says their initial investigation revealed that the driver of themotorcycle failed to turn and left the roadway. According to OPP, the female driver was first taken to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsey and then airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto with her life-threatening injuries.
