Napanee OPP personnel involved in recent robbery

Police in Greater Napanee have arrested a man suspected of being involved in a series of robberies.

On Aug. 12, police said a man entered a store along Highway 41 in Northbrook, approached his employees, armed himself, and demanded cash. .

The man then fled the scene in a car with a large amount of cash.

And on August 14, police said they found a vehicle matching the one used during the robbery.

Police have identified and arrested its sole resident in connection with the Northbrook robbery. Police say he was also involved in two of his other robberies at Pembroke and Mississippi Mills.

63-year-old James Finnegan, with no fixed address, faces a range of charges, including:

  • Violent robbery – 3 counts
  • Intentional disguise – 3 counts
  • Escape from the sheriff
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Offenses under $5000 Possession of Property Obtained by
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Offense Over $5,000 – Two Counts
  • Possession of Property by Offense Less Than $5,000 – Four Counts

Finnegan has been taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 21st. Ontario doctor charged with murder also charged with death of three of his patients
