New Jersey’s Jack Hughes should have enough chances to score against the Rangers tonight

The red-hot New Jersey Devils have won 18 of their past 20 games. And it’s not difficult to see why.

Jack Hughes, who had a hat trick in a 5-1 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, has 11 goals this season and 25 points this season. Judging by how many pucks he’s been firing at the opposing net, you’d think he’d have even more.

Heading into Monday night’s game against the New York Rangers, Hughes had taken 34 shots in his past nine games. He has seven goals and 11 points during that span.

Perhaps that is why FanDuel gave Hughes’ +184 odds of scoring a goal on Monday night.

Based on the “heater” he’s been on, I’d take the over. Especially with how important this rivalry game will be for a Devils team that is trying to extend its latest winning streak to three games.
