Oakville, Ontario. — Police in Oakville, Ontario, say a late-night shooting killed one person and seriously injured another one of them and took him to hospital.
According to the Halton Regional Police Service, around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, Belt He Lane and Littlefield Road area police were summoned and reported a suspected gunshot.
When police arrived, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the suspect fled in a car shortly after the shooting.
According to them, early information indicates that the shooter was targeting victims.
