Finding one person trapped, firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and used specialized tools to remove both doors from the driver’s side to reach the person, Ottawa Fire Services said.
The person was safely freed and in paramedics’ care at 7:06 a.m. For safety’s sake, firefighters disconnected the vehicles’ batteries and spread absorbent material on the road to mop up the leaking fluids.
