Online luring suspect may have had more victims, Longueuil police say

Longueuil police on Thursday turned to the public in an effort to determine if a 57-year-old Saint Hubert man suspected of online luring and distributing child sexual abuse material, had other victims.

Gilles Croteau was arrested Jan. 24 during a province-wide operation against child sexual abuse material led by the Sûreté du Québec that saw more than 30 people taken into custody.

Croteau faces charges of producing and distributing child pornography as well as online luring of minors.

Police allege Croteau used the online aliases of Francis, Jack as well as Charles and that their investigation has led them to believe he may have had other victims.
