The Eastern Ontario doctor charged with the patient's death now faces three more counts of first-degree murder.
Ontario Police say new charges against Dr Brian Nadler are linked to the deaths of Claire Briere, 80, Lorraine Lalande, 79, and Judith Lunggrescu, 93.
Nadler was first charged with first-degree murder in the March 2021 death of his 89-year-old Albert Poidinger at Hawkesbury and Regional General Hospital.
Police said at the time they were investigating a doctor in connection with several other deaths at the hospital.
Nadler was released on bail last July.
Nadler's attorney Brian Greenspan previously said his client maintained his innocence.
