Organizers select queen for 2023 St. Patrick's Day Parade

Samara O'Gorman will wear her crown in the first full-scale event since 2019 on Sunday, March 19.

Samara O’Gorman, an actress, writer and Irish studies student, has been crowned queen for the 2023 St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the United Irish Societies of Montreal announced late Saturday.

Princesses are Caeleigh McDonald, Shaeleigh Rose Spracklin, Olivia Dawe and Julia Rochford.

The parade, which takes place on Sunday, March 19, will return for its first full-scale event since 2019.

It will begin at Fort St. and Ste-Catherine St. W. and wind its way east to Metcalfe St.

The St. Patrick’s Day parade has been held every year in Canada since 1824.
