The March 29 incident left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 22-year-old Ottawa man has been arrested and faces nearly a dozen weapons and drug charges in connection with a shooting that took place in late March in Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township.
The Ontario Provincial Police said Friday that officers from the Grenville County and Leeds County detachments responded to a disturbance at residence on County Road 44 on March 29. One person was located inside with non-life-threatening injuries “consistent with gun-shot wounds.” That individual was transported to hospital by the Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service.

On Thursday, a handful of OPP teams executed a search warrant in Ottawa. The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with: attempted murder using a firearm; uttering threats; knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon with ammunition; careless use of a firearm; possession of a firearm obtained by crime; possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm; unauthorized possession of a weapon; and possession of cocaine, fentanyl and crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The investigation was continuing, police said Friday. The accused was remanded into custody.
Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township is located south of Ottawa, not far from the intersection of Highways 416 and 401.
