GAZA — The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) confirmed on Sunday that one of its senior armed commanders was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip.
"Al-Quds Brigades (Jerusalem Brigades) is the commander of the Southern Region (of the Gaza Strip) and member of the Security Council, who was martyred as a result of yesterday's Israeli airstrikes. (Saturday)," the group said in a statement.
Al-Quds Brigades is the armed wing of the group.
