Patio of popular Halifax cafe and bar damaged in hit-and-run

Halifax's college-favorite café and bar decided to revive its patio after a Sunday night hit-and-run overwhelmed its outdoor dining space. Working on it is corrupted.

A photo posted by Coburg Social Bar and Café on his social media shows a concrete wall torn in half and tables and chairs skewed.

Coburg owner and operator of his Social, Kelly Irvine, said the incident happened around 9 p.m. and the store was closed.

``A car was going up Coburg Road from Robbie Street. We have a patio," she said.

"And instead of turning the corner, he crossed the street and headed for the patio."
