10 PM. Closing until 5am is BC. Government efforts to replace the Paturo Bridge
traffic will be closed. Emergency vehicle on Friday night.
Closure of B.C. The government is working to replace the Paturo Bridge.
“In order to ensure the safe completion of this work, from 10:00 pm the lanes of the Paturo Bridge under the Royal Avenue Viaduct in New Westminster will be closed to the north and the bridge joint will be completely closed. We will be closed until 5am,” said a notice from TransLink.
The bridge remains open to pedestrians, cyclists and first responders in both directions.
Drivers who normally use Paturo to New Westminster are advised to use Port Mann Bridge or Alex Fraser Bridge. Northbound N19 Night Bus service has been rerouted via Alex Fraser and Queensboro Bridges, and passengers should expect an additional 30 minutes travel time.
Southbound motorists coming from McBride Boulevard must divert to the Columbia Street entrance ramp during the closure, but the Royal Avenue entrance ramp remains open.
