Budapest, Hungary — Penny Oleksiak in 2022 Slightly missed his third medal at the FINA World Aquatics Championships and finished fourth in the Women's 100m Freestyle on Thursday.
Oleksiak from Toronto, she was third on the turn, but she finished 0.06 seconds off the podium in 52.98 seconds.
Mollie O'Callaghan of Australia won her second gold medal in Budapest and finished fourth overall.
World record holder Sarah Sjoström was second (52.80) and Torihasuke of the United States was third (52.92).
Toronto's Kera Sanchez was sixth (53.59).
Oleksiak swam the anchor leg to help Canada win the bronze medal at the Women's 4x200 Freestyle Relay and won her seven career world championship medals.
