Police investigating shooting in northeast Edmonton

Edmonton Police are investigating the shooting that claimed the life of a 63-year-old woman Saturday night.

Police responded to a complaint about weapons at a residence at 162 Avenue and 52 Street at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Aug. 6, according to a news release.

When police arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive woman who had been pronounced dead by paramedics.

An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

Police A third person was injured and taken to hospital in a critical, life-threatening condition.
