Police have lifted a lockdown at a St-Léonard high school after sweeping the area in the wake of a threat, the English Montreal School Board said Tuesday.

They later gave the all-clear signal and students were dismissed class by class, Mike Cohen, an EMSB spokesperson, said at 4 p.m.
“It is regrettable these types of calls come in, but we have a duty to take each one seriously,” he said. “We always hope the police will catch the caller.”
Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said no suspect had been located and no threat had been found.
