Police said a man who complained of having too much mayonnaise in his sandwich fired at a sandwich store in Atlanta, killing one employee and injuring another.
The shooting took place around 6:30 pm. On Sunday, at a subway restaurant attached to a gas station in downtown Atlanta. Police reported that the man had discussed with two female workers and then fired.
As of early Monday morning, Atlanta police have not released any information about the arrest or details about the suspect.
"What you see behind me is the result of a tragedy. This is a pointless tragedy that has been seen many times throughout the year, and the debate has led to shooting, now. Someone has died, "provisional police chief Darin Shabaum told WSB-TV.
Police did not immediately disclose the names of the two women, and the condition of the injured woman was not immediately known.
"It's heartbreaking to know that someone has the courage to point their weapons and shoot as many mayonnaises as possible with sandwiches," said restaurant co-owner Willy Glen.
