OTTAWA — Electricity distribution company Hydro One said on Thursday that power supply in the heart of downtown Toronto, home to some of Canada's top companies, was affected. It said it was investigating the giving issue.

The power outage began around noon local time (1600 GMT), forcing a Hydro One customer to express a complaint on his Twitter account.

His website for Toronto Hydro, a local unit of Hydro One, also appeared to be down for maintenance. (Reporting by Ismail Shakil, Ottawa; Editing by Jonathan Oatis)
