Saturday's rival game between San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy was initially expected to attract more than 30,000 fans, but was postponed due to a power outage at Stanford Stadium.
A nearby Edgewood Fire caused a device failure that caused a power outage on the Stanford University campus from Tuesday, but the power outage has not been fully restored.
Stanford University has informed us that a problem on campus this week will prevent Classico, California from being held on Saturday, "said Seismic President Jared Shawlee in a statement.
