Quebec police ask for help in search for missing Gloucester man

The man was last seen at about 8 p.m. in Ladysmith, Que., and was thought to be travelling to the Otter Lake area in a black 2017 Ford Escape.

The Sûreté du Québec asked for the public’s help Sunday evening as it looked for a missing 57-year-old man from Gloucester.

Michael Scandiffio was last seen Saturday night at about 8 p.m. in Ladysmith, Que., and was thought to be travelling to the Otter Lake area in a black 2017 Ford Escape with Ontario licence plates (BNXP701).

His relatives had reason to be concerned about his safety, police said. He was described as 5-11, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a red jersey and a red Raptors cap.

Anyone who has seen Scandiffio was asked to contact 911. Police said any information that can help find him can be communicated, confidentially, to the criminal information centre of the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
