The RCMP is investigating after a highway maintenance worker was hit by a Jeep SUV Monday night while clearing debris west of Edmonton.
"An employee was seriously injured and taken to hospital," the Parkland RCMP said in a news release issued on Tuesday.
"The driver of the vehicle was unharmed and remained at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash."
Police said the worker said he was at Emcon Services He is a 62-year-old man who is an employee of A man driving an SUV ran over a worker on Route 16A near Route 60 at approximately 7:15 pm.
