Registration for City of Toronto winter recreation and March break programs is officially open.

There are more than 11,000 registered courses with about 108,000 spaces up for grabs, as well as 2,350 drop-in programs, the city said in a news release.

Winter programs – including skating, skiing, snowboards, swimming, fitness and wellness, arts, general interest and other sports – begin on Monday, Jan. 9 for people of all ages and skill levels.

For in-person registration support, Centennial Recreation Centre and Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre will be open on Dec. 7 from 7 a.m. to noon.

However, you can also register by phone at 416-396-7378, but online registration is the quickest and easiest method.

For those who need camps during the winter school break, spaces are still available for Holiday CampTO, which begins on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Gibson House, one of 10 Toronto History Museums.

Keep in mind that the city’s recreation programs are popular and the waiting lists are long. If registrants are unable to attend their registered program, they are asked to cancel their booking, so that spot can be offered to someone else.
