Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzaterra was placed on the team's 15-day injured list on Friday afternoon after torn his left anterior cruciate ligament during Thursday's game.

In a corresponding move, the Rockies reinstated right-handed Jhoulys Chacin from his IL.

Senzaterra, Thursday's host, started in St. Louis against his Cardinals and was ejected after 1 2/3 innings.

While running to first base after a ground ball, Senzaterra took an awkward step to avoid a collision with first baseman Elefris his Montero, limping to the ground and kneeling. It hurt.

Senzaterra, 27, finished his 2022 season with his 3-7 record, posting a 5.07 ERA in 19 appearances. In his sixth MLB campaign for Colorado, he struck out just 54 batters in 92 1/3 total innings.

In his career, Senzaterra has a 39-42 record with a 4.88 ERA.

Chasin, 34, is a relief pitcher who played in 32 games with the Rockies before he went to IL on July 23 with a toe injury. He's 4-2 with his career-worst 7.36 ERA this season.
