MOSCOW — Russia's defense ministry on Thursday accused Ukraine of planning a "provocation" at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant on August 19, when UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is due to visit, the Russian official said. news agency RIA reported.
The ministry provided no evidence to support its claims.
It said in a statement that there were no Russian heavy weapons at the Russian-controlled reactor facility or nearby districts.
