Moscow — A Russian court has ordered the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), one of the largest pipelines in the world, to suspend its activities for 30 days.

The CPC, which processes about 1% of the world's oil and includes US majors Chevron and Exxon, said the decision to shut down was related to issues related to oil spill handling, and the consortium said this. He said he had to follow the decision.

Refused further comments on its activities and operations.

The pipeline exported up to 54 million tonnes of Kazakh crude oil from the Black Sea last year. (Report by Reuters, edited by Edmund Blair / Guy Fallconbridge)
