KYIV —Russian bombardment in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, killed five people and injured 22 on Monday.
There was no immediate comment from Russia denying targeting civilians. Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th.
"They are all Kharkiv citizens walking down the streets and playgrounds," said Ole Sinevbov, Governor of the Kharkiv region, in a Telegram messaging app. "We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all the families."
