Saskatoon YWCA pool permanently closed

YWCA Saskatoon will permanently close its pools after repairs required by the facility.

A pool review found that operational costs were increasing and an upgrade was required.

Cara Bahr, CEO of YWCASaskatoonsaid the facility is looking to offer other services.

"Client needs are evolving, and today we know clients are more in need of employment and learning services than overwater programming," she said Bahr.

“We are currently renting space elsewhere in the city to provide these much-needed services. and will offer these services and programs at its own facilities.”
