During the fourth quarter, Metcalf was carted to the locker room.
These days, that can be a scary scene. All you need to do is think of last Thursday’s game, when Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was taken off the field on a stretcher after he was thrown to the turf and hit the back of his head.
In Metcalf’s case, however, it was a lot less serious.

Adding a laughing-crying emoji, he tweeted after the game: “That clinch walk wouldn’t have made it.”
In another tweet, Tacoma News Tribute reporter Gregg Bell explained that Metcalf didn’t ask for the ride to the bathroom; rather, he was offered it.
“Asked him if he tipped the driver,” Bell tweeted. “Metcalf smiled, said, ‘I didn’t have my wallet!!’”
Naturally, Twitter had a field day, mostly of the “When you gotta go, you gotta go” variety.
In case you missed it, Metcalf had seven catches for 149 yards during Sunday’s game.
He was targeted only once after his bathroom break.
The Seahawks beat the Lions 48-45.
