Ontario's Police Surveillance Agency exercised its powers after a man was seriously injured during an interaction with London, Ontario. Police near the eastern end overpass Wednesday night.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene around midnight after receiving a call that a man was distressed near the railroad overpass on He Avenue, Highbury, just north of Dundas Street. said the police.
Few details have been released, but police said officers located the man and "started negotiations but were unsuccessful."

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries around 1:45 p.m., according to police.
The Special Investigation Unit is now exercising its powers, according to police.
