Toronto — The Toronto Raptors have signed Otto Porter Jr., a key member of the Golden State Warriors' NBA Championship team.

This transaction was first reported by Yahoo Sports and confirmed by Canadian press by sources close to negotiations.

The terms and conditions of the transaction were unknown.

This 29-year-old player averaged 8.2 points per game this past season. He is a tenacious defender, has a solid long range shooting, and has an average carrier of 39.8% from behind the arc.

According to a Yahoo report, Porter's wife is from Toronto.

Porter was ranked third overall by Washington in the 2013 draft and played there for the first six seasons of his career before being traded to Chicago in 2019. Orlando then bought him on the 2021 trading deadline, the 2021 off-season Warriors.

The Raptors have been busy since the free agent opened at 6 pm. On Thursday, ET signed a three-year contract with Canadian forward Chris Boucher and a multi-year contract extension with veteran forward Thaddeus Young.
