Los Angeles FC are betting on a four-game winning streak against hosts Real Salt Lake on Saturday night in Sandy, Utah.

LAFC (15-4-3, 48 points) leads Major League Soccer in points and wins this season, plus 21 on goal difference to put him second, July 2. I haven't lost a single match since that day. Most recently, with LAFC at home a week ahead of him, he scored in a 2-1 win over the visiting Seattle Sounders. Carlos Vela and Kwadwo Opoku scored the winners.

For Vera, his goal ended the scoring drought. The former league MVP and Golden winner of his boot had not scored since May 21 before scoring against the Sounders in the 43rd minute.

Vera has seven goals and eight assists in 20 appearances this season. A far cry from his 34-goal season in 2019, he no longer has to carry his LAFC scoring load. The match against the Sounders marked his debut home of international stars Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini.

"He's always working on getting game time and getting his fitness back," his LAFC coach Steve Cerundro said of Bale. "It's the third week of preseason for him. He's going to be sharper, faster and better."

Additionally, Opoku has scored five goals this season, while Cristian Arango has scored his nine. Leading the club in goals.

Real Salt Lake (9-7-7, 34 points) recently got its own offensive reinforcements thanks to LAFC. The two clubs signed a deal earlier this week to send forward Danny Mussovski to RSL in exchange for an allocation fee.

Mussovski, 26, hasn't played much for LAFC this season — adding two goals and an assist in 16 games (six starts) — However, he has tallied 9 goals and 4 assists in 37 games in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He is a proven scorer and the RSL hopes to help the club improve their plus-one goal difference.

“We are thrilled to add Danny, a dynamic striker who will provide an additional goalscoring threat to our roster and fit our style of play. "He said in a statement Kurt Schmidt, his director at RSL Technical.

His July campaign for the RSL was inconsistent, with six games saw him finish the month with one win and two draws.
