Officers recently hired by the new Surrey Police infringement.
A policeman hired by a service set to replace his RCMP in Surrey in May said he was arrested by the Mounties on Tuesday and is subject to conditions amid an ongoing investigation. was released with
Surrey Police Service (SPS) spokesman Ian MacDonald said the SPS was now releasing the information "for the sake of transparency".
" SPS officers have been indicted for alleged breach of trust," McDonald said. "But the claim has not yet been approved by the BC Prosecutor's Office."
He said the office of the Police Complaints Commissioner has also been notified.
The police officer in question has over a year of police experience.
SPS Chief Const. Norm Lipinski has suspended officers on pay pending the outcome of an investigation being handled by the Surrey RCMP.
The names of the officers and details of the incident have not been released.
