Suspect sought in theft at caisse populaire in Montreal North

Police say a man burst into the financial institution on Léger Blvd. near Lacordaire Blvd. and stole around $5,000 before fleeing.

Montreal police have turned to the public in an effort to locate a suspect in the theft last month of about $5,000 from a caisse populaire in Montreal North.

On Oct. 21, a man burst into the financial institution on Léger Blvd. near Lacordaire Blvd., stole the cash and fled south on Lacordaire.

The suspect, described as tall and thin, was wearing a black hooded sweater, pale grey pants, gloves and black and white running shoes with a Nike logo.
