The incident is believed to be isolated and there are no concerns about public safety, OPP said.
Immediately after 10 am on Monday, Corbourg police responded to reports of shootings in downtown.
Scarborough's Rohan Pine was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
Pine was the co-owner of the Jamaican Patty House in Corbourg.
Police said two suspects were found escaping from the scene in a black Lexus SUV reportedly stolen.
The vehicle was in a place abandoned by Markham later that day.
