A transgender teacher in California is standing by the materials in their classroom’s “queer library,” claiming that BDSM-related books helped kids develop their identities.
Flint, an English and film studies teacher at San Juan Hills High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., often shares classroom posts on TikTok under the handle @justflintisfine to their over 156,000 followers.

A previous email from the school district to parents stated the content was only available to a specific club — but the library is in Flint’s classroom, making it available to all students.
Flint shared how people are outraged about their queer library.

“I have like 200 titles that are specific to the LGBT community that I’ve been curating for over eight years,” they posted in a Nov. 21 TikTok video.
“Don’t get me wrong, my students love that library,” they explained. “It has been very helpful for many students figuring out who they are, how to relate to their peers, for parents who are trying to better understand their kids.”
Some of the books in the queer library include Everything you Ever Wanted to Know About Being Trans…, which explores BDSM, fetishes and a kink social media networking site.
This Book Is Gay looks at Grindr and includes different sex positions, sex toys and orgies.

Other books in the library include The Boy in the Red Dress and The A-Z of Gender and Sexuality.
In a recent video, Flint commented how some people are up in arms that they are trans.
“They almost all seem to think that I’m going rogue during the school day and recruiting kids to be trans.”
David Averell, a parent in the district, previously told Fox News, “There shouldn’t be porn allowed in classrooms. What was in the classroom pretty much made me sick.”
At the time, the Capistrano school district said in an email, “The books referenced were available through a high school extra-curricular club and are not instructional materials. However, we have initiated a review of these books, which are currently not available to students.”
