Calgary — Telus Corp. opened a new 60-story Calgary headquarters on Wednesday.

A new $ 400 million skyscraper, Telus Sky, has been in development for nine years and is currently the third tallest building in downtown Calgary. It features 750,000 square feet of office and retail space, and 326 rental housing.

The eye-catching design of the building by architect Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and Dialogue begins with a rectangular floorboard and gradually twists, along with developer partners Westbank and Allied. To go.

Integrated into the façade of Telus Sky is Canada's largest public art display. "Northern Lights" by Canadian author and artist Douglas Coupland creates a light show throughout the exterior of the building.

Telus Sky has more than 1,600 Telus employees. We have joined Vancouver's TELUS Garden, TELUS Harbor Toronto, TELUS House Ottawa and Place TELUS Quebec as one of the company's LEED (Leede of Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certified Buildings.

Among the environmental functions of the building is a rainwater management system that recycles rainwater for use in the bathroom toilet, reducing the city's water demand by 70%.
