Texas saloon shooting suspect charged with anti-Asian hate crime

A man accused of shooting dead three Asian-American women in a hair salon has been charged withmultiple counts, including a hate crime.

The Dallas County District Attorney's Office said Tuesday in her May 11 shooting at a salon in Dallas' Koreatown, Jeremy, 37, Terrence has announced that she has filed charges against Smith. Smith entered the saloon and from a .22 caliber rifle he fired 13 shots, claiming three women were wounded and four endangered.

According to the statement, "Smith is said to have deliberately selected petitioners because of prejudices and prejudices against Asian Americans."

Police affidavit Smith's girlfriend told a police detective that she had been delusional about Asian-Americans ever since she was involved in a car accident with an Asian man two years ago, according to reports.
