Thaddeus Young signed a multi-year contract extension with the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
According to Yahoo Sports, the deal will be $ 16 million plus incentives over a two-year period.
In 52 games between Toronto and San Antonio last season, the 6'8 Young averaged 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 16.3 minutes. The Raptors scored Young on the February trading deadline, averaging 6.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 26 games against Toronto.
"Sad is a high-level expert who complements our core very well. He blended into the team's organization last season. He chose to re-contract here in Toronto. I'm excited about that, "general manager Bobby Webster said in a news release. "He is a smart and versatile player and will continue to provide valuable leadership to young players in the courts and locker rooms."
Young, 34, was Philadelphia in the 2007 NBA Draft. It was ranked 12th overall by the Delphia Seventy Sixers. With 1,085 games (starting 711 games) in seven teams, he averages 12.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
