Thousands Fill Toronto's Church Street with Pride Weekend Festival

Thousands went toChurch Streeton Saturday to celebrate their pride and returned after a two-year hiatus of COVID-19.

Church-Wellesley Villageis a colorful sea where people from all disciplines gathered to enjoy the festival.

The organizers said they will introduce more than 300 2SLGBTQ + artists and 25 community curators at 6 signing events. Dai Clary and March started the celebration on Saturday at 1:00 pm. The pride parade is scheduled for 2 pm. Sunday.

Hundreds Vendors are lined up on the street. Among them were companies seeking to recover from a pandemic that lacked revenue. Others were important services in the queer community.

Sala Midnight, a local business owner based in the area, said the resurgence of pride has proven to be a necessary boost for her and her store.

Celebrating thousands of people Stephanie Lindsay appeared in 2016, but 2022 was their first pride experience.

"I feel very empowered," they said. “I was very scared of the first public place.”

This event was attended by people from all disciplines, including those who enjoyed traveling from afar.
