Toronto General was without power for approximately 30 minutes, butwas critically ill in areas critical to patients. Power has been switched on for care, including surgical operating rooms, according to the University Health Network.
SickKids also said they were temporarily affected by the power outage.
"Certain areas of the SickKids campus were affected by a power outage in downtown Toronto," a spokesperson said. "Normal power has since been restored across the hospital campus. There is no known significant impact on the delivery of patient care. We will continue to monitor the situation closely."
City said: No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.
