A patrolman stopped a vehicle for an expired driver's license.
An early morning traffic outage at Vaudreuil Dorion on Monday resulted in Sûreté du Québec 27 kilograms of cocaine and $175,000 in cash.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 am on Harwood Drive. A patrolman stopped the vehicle to check the validity of the driver's license. Police determined that his license had expired and detained the driver, demanding that the vehicle be towed.
A search of the vehicle found more than 27 kilos of cocaine and his $175,000 in cash. His 30-year-old driver of the car was arrested at the scene and is due to appear in court on drug trafficking charges at a later date.
