Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent his Sunday leaping from the tallest bungee jump in Canada.

Wearing red flannel, blue jeans and boots, Trudeau walks up to the edge of the Great Canadian Bungee Jump in Quebec, and leaps from the ledge of a crane atop a cliff, plunging 200 feet down towards the water far below.

Whooping can be heard on the video posted to Instagram, and it appears the prime minister plunged far enough that he splashed a little bit in the water.

“You never know who you will encounter on the bungee tower at Great Canadian Bungee,” wrote the company on an Instagram post, which noted Trudeau was there with his son Xavier and daughter Ella-Grace.

The prime minister’s office told CTV News that “ahead of his son’s birthday, the prime minister took his kids out for an activity in the National Capital Region on Sunday.” (Xavier’s birthday is Oct. 18.)

Trudeau was back in the office this week. He spent Monday in private meetings, according to his itinerary, before presenting an award in the late afternoon. On Tuesday, he was expected in Dartmouth and Halifax, meeting with officials working on hurricane recovery following the damage caused by Hurricane Fiona. He will also meet with Tim Houston, the Nova Scotia premier.

It’s Trudeau’s second visit to Atlantic Canada in the past week or so. Last Tuesday, Trudeau had visited Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton to survey damage and discuss climate-change resilient infrastructure.
