Two suspects have been arrested in connection with attempted arson at a fruit and vegetable wholesaler in the industrial sector of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Montreal police announced Tuesday.

Two 19-year-old men appeared at the Montreal courthouse last week facing charges related to the possession of incendiary materials and the breaching of conditions after the building was hit with two arson attempts between Nov. 23 and Nov. 25.

The suspects were arrested on Nov. 26 when they were found lurking near the building’s loading docks with a can of gasoline in their vehicle. Police also seized lighters and cellphones, the force said.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests are to come. The force is asking anyone with information to communicate with 911, their local police station or anonymously through Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 or on infocrimemontreal.ca.
