Two bodies found in burning car in Summerland

Two bodies were found Saturday morning in the wreckage of a burning car on Garnet Valley Road outside Summerland.

According to the RCMP, the body was found after the Summerland Fire Department extinguished the vehicle. The RCMP was then alerted and officers were present to confirm the report.

The Southeastern District Major Crimes Unit (SED MCU) took over the investigation.

The SED MCU cooperates with the Summerland Detachment. Penticton Regional Detachment, and the services of the BC Coroner to determine the cause of these deaths.
