Quebec authorities have approved criminal charges in connection with a deliberate boat collision on the Blanche River last summer in which the operator of a “sport boat” allegedly deliberately crashed into a pontoon boat.
According to police, the incident occurred Aug. 15, when police were called at 8 p.m. after “a sport boat operator engaged in aggressive and dangerous driving deliberately collided with a pontoon-style boat.”

One passenger on the pontoon boat suffered serious injuries in the collision. The pontoon boat was declared a total loss, police said.
According to Gatineau police, Quebec’s Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions has approved .charges against two men in their 30s on the speedboat including criminal harassment, assault with a weapon, assault causing harm, mischief over $5,000 and other charges.
The accused are to appear in court at an unspecified date,
