WASHINGTON — A US circuit judge Wednesday reinstated the Biden administration's moratorium on new oil and gas leases on federal land and waters. This is an important part of the president's climate change strategy.
A Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals judge suspended the Interior Department's leases after Louisiana and 12 other states sued the established administration, alleging it would be harmed by: reversed the Louisiana District Court's decision to block the policy.
