COPENHAGEN — The UK and Denmark announced further aid to Ukraine in the form of money and weapons on Thursday in connection with an international donors conference in Copenhagen.
The UK said in a statement that it would supply Ukraine with more multi-launch rocket systems capable of striking targets up to 80 km (50 miles) away.
British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said the arms supply would help Ukraine defend itself against Russian heavy artillery.
Meanwhile, Denmark will increase its financial aid to Ukraine by €110 million ($113.6 million), Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said at a meeting attended by several European defense ministers. said in
"This is a war against the values that Europe and the free world have built ... Today we reaffirm our commitment to support Ukraine," she said.
The conference, hosted by Ukraine, Denmark and the United Kingdom, will be held to discuss long-term assistance to Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
