When FC Dallas and the Philadelphia Union, two of the hottest teams in MLS, face off in the big game on Wednesday in Frisco, Texas, they have something to give.

FC Dallas (10-7-9, 39 points) has overcome a midseason slump as he has three wins and two draws in his last six games. Saturday. This kept them in third place in the Western Conference table.

It was the first time in over a month that Dallas had scored multiple goals in a game.

Philadelphia (13-3-9, 48 points) heads to Dallas after his 4-1 win at home to Chicago on Saturday. The win was his sixth in the Union's last seven games and sent the Eastern to the top of his conference. His 18 points scored in this stretch is the most in the club's history with seven appearances.

Jesus Ferreira scored his two goals for Dallas against the Earthquakes, while Marco Farfan and Alan Velasco also scored the winning goals. His three goals for FCD came in the first half, with Ferreira's first goal netted in his third minute.

"From the moment the opening whistle blew, I had the spirit to go into the game," he said, FC Dallas coach Nico Estevez. “We scored in three minutes and kept pressing. In the minds of the players today, we had to be ready. It wasn’t easy, but we took our chances.

Ferreira leads Dallas with 14 goals, four short of the team's single-season record. His three losses for the Union this season were the fewest in the league, and Philadelphia's league-best defense allowed just 19 goals in his 25 games.

Daniel Gazdag and Julian Carranza scored goals and assists respectively to seal the Union victory over the Fire. Jack Elliott and Corey Burke also scored in the big recovery game after losing in Cincinnati on August 6.

"Overall, it's been a very good response from the group," said union coach Jim He Curtin. "This team always reacts strongly after games that don't look like themselves. I call the Cincinnati game the game where we aren't ourselves.

Gazdag leads the side with 12 goals and six assists, including goals in five of their last seven games.

Dallas has never lost to the Union at home while he beat Philadelphia 14-3 in his seven games in North Texas.
