Vancouver weather: another heat wave

Inland temperatures are expected to be in the 30s today, and heat warnings remain in effect for the region.

VANCOUVER, BC: August Thu 18. Today's weather is expected to start with a mix of sun and clouds, followed by clear skies in the afternoon, with highs of 28 and 33 degrees inland. , Environment and Climate Change Canada said: Inland you may feel closer to 33 C and 38 C. 

From today through Friday, daytime highs will range from 29°C to 35°C inland and around 28°C at waterfronts, with heat continuing in the region. An alarm is issued in the morning.

Authorities have warned that extreme heat affects everyone, but risks include young children, pregnant women, the elderly, those with chronic illnesses, and those who work or exercise outdoors.

Showers possible tonight and thunderstorms likely through Friday morning. Clouds will clear in the late afternoon, with highs of 25C. After that, the weekend will be a little cooler, and Saturday and Sunday will be sunny with highs of 24C and 25C respectively.
