Vegas Golden Knights goalkeeper Robin Lehner underwent surgery to repair a hip injury and is expected to miss the 2022-23 season, the team announced Thursday.

An exact timeline for Lehner's return at the age of 31 has not been set.

Over the past two seasons, Lehner has been plagued with injuries. He underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in his April and another shoulder surgery in May 2021.

Lehner last season in Golden with his Knights he appeared in 44 games, winning 23-17-2 and scoring 2.83 goals against a .907 average. Saving percentage and his one shutout.

The Ottawa Senators selected Lehner in the second round of the 2009 draft. He went to Ottawa, Buffalo to the Sabers, New York to the Islanders, Chicago to the Blackhawks before being traded to Las Vegas on February 24, 2020. 49 in 17 shutouts.
