Watchdog investigating after a man injured in police intervention

{33 Bureaudesen quêtes indépendantes (BEI), an independent police guard dog in Quebec, is investigating after a man was injured during police intervention in Carignan.

According to preliminary information from BEI, a Richelieu Saint Lauren police officer intervened in his home after 8:30 am on Saturday. He was a victim of marital violence.

When the police arrived, the woman was outside, with a man armed with a knife inside, apparently seriously injured.

According to BEI, police officers succeeded in disarming a 30-year-old man who was taken to a stable hospital on Saturday afternoon.

All this information needs to be verified by the six investigators assigned to the case by BEI.
